Quality Engineer

Manages the compliance oversight program for all applicable regulatory compliance areas for the relevant industry. Plans, develops, oversees, and conducts compliance risk assessments, quality assurance reviews, compliance monitoring process, and compliance training across departments for Federal, State and industry laws as well as other regulations and standards. Coordinates the development, maintenance, implementation and modification of policies and procedures and other documents for the operation of the organizations compliance program.

Responsible for the development, application and maintenance of quality control systems for processing materials into finished products. Develops and initiates methods and procedures for inspection, testing and evaluation. Devises sampling procedures, supervises the design of form for recording quality checks and preparation of instruction for these procedures. May establish programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production and processing equipment and testing, measurement and analytical facilities. Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility for spoiled material. May conduct training program and write training manuals on quality control activities.

Supervises employees who possess an average to high degree of skill and knowledge of inspection and quality control procedures and techniques involved n the inspection of products and/or purchased materials. May involve using various kinds of gauges and measuring instrument, and/or applying standardized chemical tests. Involves the use of various kinds of electrical test equipment.

Responsible for maintaining a level of manpower consistent with the business plan. Take timely action to address attendance, performance and other personnel issues within the department. Responsible for conducting performance appraisals. Recommend training to upgrade skills for department personnel. Responsible for interviewing and recommending candidates for hire.

Complies and conducts business in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. Promotes ethical behavior by acting with honesty and integrity.
