Position Description

POSITION:

The Department of Management and Marketing in the School of Business at the College of Charleston seeks qualified applicants for a full-time visiting Instructor starting August 16, 2024.

Responsibilities include:
• Teaching four undergraduate courses per semester in management, marketing, and/or entrepreneurship. There may be opportunities to teach in the MBA program.
• Developing new courses as they relate to the strategic objectives of the Department and the School by utilizing innovative teaching methods to enhance the success of diverse learners.
• Engaging in service activities, such as student advising and mentoring.

QUALIFICATIONS:
An MBA (or an M.A. or M.S. degree in a related field) from an AACSB-accredited program is the minimum academic requirement for this position. Ideal applicants will have significant industry experience in management and marketing in a leading global technology firm, as well as teaching experience in basic and upper-level management and marketing courses (such as capstone, strategy, leadership, organizational behavior, human resource management, and marketing concepts courses) at an AACSB-accredited business school. Preference will be given to candidates that are enthusiastic, collegial, engaged with students, good communicators, and team players. Candidates should possess a demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate coursework in the above-stated areas.
