POSITION DESCRIPTION: DrinkPAK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Line Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will become an expert on all things related to the performance of the production line assigned and use that mastery to deliver results in safety, quality, efficiency, yield, and cost. This is a hands-on, continuous improvement-oriented, fast-paced role working closely with the frontline team and all departments within the organization.

LOCATION:The position is based at DrinkPAK's headquarters in Santa Clarita, California.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Promote and encourage safe working practices and collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish and maintain robust quality control measures, ensuring that products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.

  • Utilize statistical methods and data analysis techniques to identify trends, patterns, and root causes of process variations, and implement data-driven solutions to address them.

  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline processes, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization to improve overall operational efficiency.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and automation solutions to enhance manufacturing processes, improve productivity, and reduce costs.

  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures for critical tasks. Provide training and support to production teams on new processes, technologies, and best practices to facilitate successful implementation and adoption.

  • Work closely with production, engineering, supply chain, and other cross-functional teams to coordinate process improvement initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

  • Create and communicate cleaning, format changeover, and maintenance plans for the frontline team to execute during planned and unplanned downtime events.

  • Routinely review production data for accuracy and reporting consistency across all shifts.

  • Manage format complexity by equipment and ensure successful production runs of new brands, flavors, and formats.

  • Engage and motivate the frontline team through routine review of line performance results and key initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

  • 2+ years' work experience in a manufacturing supervisory position with frontline employees required.

  • Experience in the high-speed manufacturing industry, preferably in beverage packaging or related sectors.

  • Proven experience in process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Kaizen.

  • Strong employee relations, interpersonal, team building, and verbal/written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools/software.

  • Demonstrate ability to function successfully in a fast paced, changing work environment.

  • Demonstrate planning and organizational skills.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.

BASE SALARY COMPENSATION RANGE: $90,000 - $120,000
