Overnight Security Officer
About the role: The Overnight Security Officer is a part of a team responsible for the security and safety measures throughout the Hotel. They will assist in the strategic oversight of every aspect of the Resort’s physical security and safety for Guests, Residents, Employees. The Security officer will be responsible for patrolling public and staff areas ensuring that loss is minimized, security policies maintained and health and safety regulations observed. This position will control the staff entrance to ensure that all parties entering the property have permission. They will also be responsible for managing employee lockers, issuing nametags and ID cards.
What you will do: Actively participate in day-to-day security operations of the property to ensure the safety and security of all guests, personnel and property. Work Overnight shifts Respond properly to any hotel emergency safety situation and document guest and employee incidents. Promote safety awareness and enforcement throughout the Hotel to reduce accidents and loss. Provide basic security services, key control, guest and function room lock problems/reprogramming, guestroom safe malfunctions, and lock out. Project an image of friendliness, professionalism, and willingness to provide personalized services to all guests, staff, and act as a liaison with all law enforcement agencies, city and federal agencies whether over the phone or in person. Make recommendations to the Director of Security and other department managers.
What you bring: Minimum one-year previous experience required in related position; certifications preferred. Requires the ability to operate computer equipment and use Microsoft applications. Ability to work well in high pressure situations and possess strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guests. Requires the ability to operate computer equipment and Microsoft applications. Fluency in English is required for this location and this job requires applicants to have current work authorization in the in the United States.

Schedule & Hours: This is a full-time position. This position will predominately work 3 overnight shifts and 1 day shift. A successful candidate will have a flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends and holidays.
