Director of IT, Director of Financial Aid, Communications Director, Communications and Media Relations Specialist
Morris College, a private four-year Liberal Arts College in Sumter, South Carolina, is seeking to fill the following position(s):
DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY: Master’s degree or equivalent in an information technology field and knowledge of higher education administrative systems applications. Demonstrated experience with database management (relational database design, queries, and table creation); system backup and restoration; Microsoft Windows 2012 server security and management; SQL; installation of software and hardware, updates, network configurations, cabling, LANS and certification standards. Knowledge of VMWare and Active Directory as well as Jenzabar EX system is preferred. Salary dependent upon training and experience. Effectively Immediately.
DIRECTOR OF FINANCIAL AID: Provide supervision and management of the Financial Aid Office. Master’s degree preferred with five years of experience in financial aid programs. Administer all scholarships, Title IV funds, and State and Institutional financial aid awards to eligible students. Prepare reports required by Federal and State agencies and assist with the annual audit. Candidate must have requisite knowledge of all Federal, State and College financial aid policies and procedures and maintain compliance with regulations and guidelines. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Effectively Immediately.
COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR: Prepare and distribute all College news and activities to College’s website, community newspaper, newsletters, press releases, social media platforms, radio stations and other outlets. Demonstrated knowledge of the theories, principles, practices, methods, and trends related to the management of communication and public relations in higher education. Ensure that articles and photographs are included in various publications and maintain all audio-visual materials to the College. Professional level writing and editing skills required. Must have a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) and five years of public relations experience. Effective Immediately.
COMMUNICATIONS AND MEDIA RELATIONS SPECIALIST: Responsible for managing and keeping all digital domains updated and accurate. Oversee all communication efforts such as media relations, web communication, social media platforms ensuring all work aligns with goals and objectives of the College. Assist director with developing social media marketing strategies. Bachelor’s degree required. Effective Immediately.
