Job Description:
The Manager is an advocate and resource for students, student organizations and develops and provides culturally relevant programmatic support that builds a community for FC APIDA students and allies.

  • This includes organizing, advising & supporting Asian American Heritage Month planning alongside ongoing initiatives, including but not limited to guest speaker events, APIDA cultural graduation, Lunar New Year, and other APIDA-related activities. 
  • The Manager will design strategic programs and initiatives to facilitate development, cultural competence, and understanding of the diversity, intersectional analyses and nuances within the FC APIDA student campus community. 
  • This position will ultimately provide program oversight and coordination and monitor expenditures to ensure a balanced program budget.
  • The Manager establishes and maintains strong collaborative relationships across campus units to serve students, including APIDA communities.
  • Other duties include ongoing collaborations with the Ethnic Studies Department and APIDA Advisory & Support Team, along with the coaching and mentoring of student staff.
  • The Manager provides overall leadership, direction, and coordination for the AANAPISI grant deliverables. 


Primary Purpose:
Under the general direction of the Dean of Social Sciences and the Ethnic Studies Department, the APIDA Amplified Projects Manager at FC oversees programmatic initiatives supporting APIDA student communities.

This grant-funded, full-time position falls under the Title III AANAPISI Grant. This position is contingent upon available funding.

Special Requirements:


Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related area OR at least two (2) years of experience in administering the specified project(s) or similar project(s).

Desirable Qualifications:
Experience with Federal and/or State grant requirements for reporting.

Coordinates financial and grants management activities.

Reviews and processes federal program documentation to include grants applications, agreements memoranda and letters.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Prepares various reports to be used for internal and external agencies.

Collects information and documentation from various sources for delivery to auditors.

Commitment to examine, reflect, and modify instructional, relational, and classroom practices in order to effectively engage and support disproportionately impacted student populations with the goal of closing equity gaps. 


Working Conditions:


Salary Range: Special Project Manager: $275/day
