I. Summary of Position

Handle, control, and evaluate Consolidated's water treatment plant complex equipment, processes, and system information by monitoring, analyzing, documenting, and performing routine operational and specialized technical work to function effectively and resolve water treatment activities of targeted complexity with latitude for independent judgment in moderately structured work.

II. Supervision Received

Works under the direct supervision of the Senior Water Treatment Plant Operator and the indirect supervision of the Superintendent of Water Treatment.

III. Supervision Exercised

Supervisory duties are not applicable.

IV. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Operate and maintain water treatment plant materials, equipment, and technology by handling, maneuvering, or controlling them and reviewing information from reports, people, and the environment to ensure quality operation in the devices, systems, processes, and results of the treatment of water.

* Monitor and inspect water treatment equipment, processes, and performance by reviewing the systems, materials, events, and the environment to detect or assess problems; make recommendations and corrections; evaluate quantity and quality; control the process, systems, and instrumentation; and comply with environmental and public health standards.

* Obtain and process information by observing and receiving data through inspection, tests, reports, meetings, and events to compile, audit, verify, and record the quality of things, services, and performance; and maintain standard operating procedures by documenting and reviewing guidelines stored in written or electronic form to ensure optimal operations through proper procedures, quality assurance, and control parameters, and analysis standards.

* Perform laboratory procedures and analysis by obtaining information from all relevant sources and evaluating data and results to determine whether results, events, and processes abide by laws, regulations, and standards.

* Expand and maintain knowledge of the industry developments by identifying opportunities and changes in circumstances or events related to company business to apply new knowledge, skills, or abilities on the job and foster greater understanding among internal and external associates.

* Encourage peers by offering support to promote mutual trust, respect, and cooperation in the team and to develop and retain the best talent.

* Represent the organization to associates, stockholders, the public, government, and vendors by communicating respectfully and conveying a positive attitude with people inside and outside the company in person, writing, or by telephone or e-mail to report information, updates, and share business-related news.

VI. Minimum Qualifications

Education, Experience, Licenses & Certifications

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* Minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience in water treatment.

* Possess a valid Colorado driver's license and be insured by the Company's insurance provider.

* Class A Colorado Water Works Operators certification required.
