BASE SALARY: $31,652.00 (2023-2024 base salary) plus additional salary credit for additional experience and education up to 10 years. Excellent benefits are available. (There is not a current Civil Service List of Eligibles – position is open to outside provisional candidates. Appointee must take, pass and be reachable on the next civil service exam given for this title to be granted a permanent position.)

This work involves responsibility for the operation of various types of commercial printing equipment. The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting in the coordination of the printing needs of the various school districts and BOCES. The work is performed under the direct supervision of the Senior Print Room Operator with some leeway for the exercise of independent judgment when determining printing services. Position requires assisting with work in the Print Shop. Work includes operating and maintaining commercial printing equipment in order to produce a wide variety of print jobs; paper collation, cutting & binding, etc. Does related work as required. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
(a)Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma AND one yearof full-time paid (or the equivalent part-time and/or volunteer) experience in the operation ofprinting equipment; OR
(b)Three years of experience as indicated in (a) above; OR
(c)Any equivalent combination of training and experience as described in (a) and (b) above.
Note: Completion of the BOCES Graphics Arts/printing course of study may be substituted for one year of the required experience. *** RESIDENCY WAIVED***
