Job Description

The Campus Facilities Management (CFM) team is seeking aRecycling and Supply Delivery Attendantto perform routine work involving the issuance, delivery, and maintenance of custodial supplies, tools, and equipment, pickup and delivery of recycling and compost bins.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES–
  • Maintain, issue, pick-up, and deliver recycling and trash containers, custodial supplies, and equipment.
  • Obtain uniforms and linens, cleaning implements (brooms, mops, brushes, etc.) supplies (soap, liquid cleaning solvents, disinfectants, various finishes, paper towels, microfiber tools, rags, etc.) and equipment (vacuum cleaners, slow speed buffers, battery powered equipment/scrubbers /polishers/Propane equipment, etc.) from appropriate storage area, load supplies and equipment on truck, and deliver to location where needed.
  • Pick up soiled uniforms and linens if needed, empty containers, left-over supplies, implements, and equipment as desired.
  • Submit list of needed supplies to superior as needed. Receive custodial supplies ordered: check orders against invoice, unload, unpack, and store; occasionally repack supplies into smaller units for issue. May maintain record of times issues and assist in taking inventory of supplies, implements, and equipment.
  • Keep custodial storeroom clean on a regular basis.
  • Will clean and check oil levels in service vehicle
  • May clean laundry and other items as needed;
  • Clean and service implements and equipment for custodial personnel. Clean mops, brushes, erasers, and other items; clean and service soap dispensers; clean and oil equipment; arrange for servicing delivery truck.
  • May pick up and transport window cleaning equipment and wall washing crews or other custodial crews to work locations.
  • May assist with filling cleaning solution containers and placing identifying labels on containers
  • May serve as a relief custodian or assist other custodians in various cleaning and maintenance activities as directed, such as replacing light bulbs, shoveling snow, spot-washing walls, washing windows, cleaning spills and messes in buildings where no custodian is on duty, unlock doors, and service coin-operated dispensers in ladies restrooms.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Shift

8:30am-5:00pm Monday through Friday

Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to read and write
  • Good physical strength and stamina sufficient to lift heavy objects (trash bins, recycle bins, tilt trucks, pallet jack movers, 4-wheeled carts, 2-wheeled dollies), occasionally shovel snow, and occasionally operate heavy, power-operated cleaning equipment.
  • Possession of a valid state motor vehicle operator's license is required
  • Ability to drive a pickup truck with lift gate, box truck with lift gate, and/or van or other campus vehicles is required.
Anticipated Hiring Range

Full-time, benefit eligible hourly (non-exempt) position.

Pay range from $15.00 to $17.00 per hour commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity.
