Brief Summary of Work for this Position

Competent and experienced Lead Facilitator to assist with the operation and participant supervision of low and high ropes programming on the Challenge Course. Duties include upholding policies, procedures, and guidelines, responding to emergencies, and performing regular maintenance of the Challenge Course. Customer service and maintaining a welcoming environment for participants is important and will be a focus for this position. This position may be asked to support Seahawk Adventures in the areas of Climbing Wall, Trips, or the Rental & Resource Office.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Equivalent of American Red Cross FA/CPR/AED Certification, or ability to obtain prior to start date
  • Experience working on “high ropes” challenge courses or ziplines within collegiate recreation or community/private recreation
  • Experience working on “low ropes” challenge courses or teambuilding within collegiate recreation or community/private recreation
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Belay knowledge in various forms of dynamic belay on the challenge course (ex: Just Right Descender, PBUS/PLUS with belay 8 or Jewel2)
  • Experience working in a climbing wall within collegiate recreation or community/private recreation
  • ACCT level 1 or level 2 certification
Required Certifications or Licensure
  • Equivalent of American Red Cross FA/CPR/AED Certification, or ability to obtain prior to start date
